We will be celebrating Mothers’ day tomorrow. At the other side, our borders are tensed and thousands of our mothers are praying for the safety of their sons and daughters working bravely to safeguard India. We are responding all the attacks fearlessly because we are standing on the shoulders of our servicemen, scientists, researchers, educators, sports persons, entrepreneurs and all those who have made this country capable.
Today, I would like to remember mothers of all those heroes and here is a tribute to them.
भारत की हर उस माँ को अभिनंदन,
जिसने अपने बच्चे के हाथों में बंदूक के बदले किताबें दीं।
वंदन है भारत की उस माँ को,
जिसने अपने बच्चे के सपनों में सिपाही से लेकर वैज्ञानिक तक को जगह दी।
धन्यवाद उस माँ को,
जिसने बच्चे को सिर्फ खिलौना ही नहीं दिया,
बल्कि खेलने, तोड़ने, समझने और कुछ नया बनाने की आज़ादी भी दी।
भारत उस हर माँ का ऋणी है,
जिसने अपने बच्चे के साथ साइकिल की सवारी से लेकर
सेना की परेड और सेटेलाइट की उड़ान तक का सफर तय किया।
नमन है उस माँ को,
जिसने अपनी निरक्षरता को पीछे छोड़
अपने बच्चे को गणित और विज्ञान की ऊँचाइयों तक पहुँचाया।
याद करें हर उस माँ को,
जिसने इस देश को अनगिनत हीरोज दिए —
जिनकी बदौलत भारत आज मजबूत है, धीर है, अडिग और वीर है।
भारत की हर माँ को हमारा शत-शत प्रणाम –
उन्हीं के आशीर्वाद से ये देश हर दिन आगे बढ़ रहा है।
